Man City Transfer News: £25 Million Rated Jesus Navas To The Etihad?

The Sun, Spanish side Sevilla have accepted that Jesus Navas will leave the club this summer. The quick-footed midfielder has been a transfer target for Manchester City and with Malaga boss, Manuel Pellegrini, who has a 'verbal agreement' to take over at the Etihad, following the dismissal of Robert Mancini, it is believed that Pellegrini wishes to make the Spaniard his first signing of the summer. The report suggests that a bid of £25 million would be substantial enough but it is unclear what contract demands Navas will have. Sevilla boss, Unai Emery, has admitted that the 27-year-old will leave this summer:

€œEverything indicates he will leave.€
With several Premier League clubs in the race to sign Navas, when asked by the media about a potential move away from Sevilla, he commented:
€œManchester City are a team I like.€
Navas has made 46 appearances for the Spanish side this season and has been a crucial part of the team. The number seven made his debut for the side back in November 2003 and since then has worked his way up through the squad to be a key player for the team. Sevilla finished La Liga in a respectable ninth place, mostly thanks to the efforts of Navas and top goal scorer Negredo Sánchez, who netted 25 league goals this season. Manchester City are also being linked with several other players including Malaga youngster Isco and Napoli striker Edinson Cavani. City hope that bringing in Pellegrini as well as spending this summer will help them win five trophies in five years as well as improving their Champions League campaign.
