Man City Transfer News: Balotelli Out, Neymar In?
Man City set to lose Balotelli - Could Neymar replace him?
are contemplating cutting their losses on the star, according to the Mail. The report states that Mancini believes the Italian could develop into one of the best players in the world, and he said Im his manager and if he deserves other chances he will have them. But last season Balotelli missed 12 games through suspension for offences such as deliberately stomping on Tottenham's Scott Parker. He was also dismissed in his sides encounter with Liverpool last year - 18 minutes after coming on as a substitute. However, he is a national hero in Italy and was the third top scorer in Euro 2012 as he helped his country to the final of the competition. Milan's interim president Adriano Galliani has been told by Milan owner and Balotelli fan, Silvio Berlusconi, to bring Balotelli back to the San Siro and the Mail say he plans to negotiate directly with Citys Abu Dhabi owners and the players agent, Mino Raiola. The report also states that Milan would have to sell Alexander Pato and former City forward Robinho however to fund any such move. Meanwhile, the Mail also say that City sporting director Txiki Begiristain flew to Sao Paulo last week to begin discussions for a move for Brazil sensation Neymar. He has scored a remarkable 43 goals in 47 appearances this year, putting him at the top of the January transfer wishlist for a number of other clubs including Chelsea. There is no concrete move for Neymar yet, but Begiristain travelling to South America would help to clarify Citys desire in the player, who the Mail value at £32million. Chelsea and Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona are also said to be interested in the 20 year old. If City fail to sign Neymar, Radamel Falcao could be another possibility, as the Mail report that manager Roberto Mancini flew to Spain recently to watch the Atletico Madrid frontman, though it is believed Chelsea lead the way for his signature. There would be an obvious hole up front for Neymar to fill should Balotelli depart the club, but time will tell if a deal materialises. Do you think City should replace Balotelli with Neymar?
