Man City Transfer News: Edinson Cavani In, Mario Balotelli Out?

Mario Balotelli out, Edinson Cavani in at the Etihad?

Daily Star. The controversial Italian reportedly told close friends that he wanted to leave the Etihad, before his sensational training ground fracas with manager Roberto Mancini - the latest in a long line of incidents during his career with the Premier League Champions. Recent reports suggested that City would sell Balotelli after the latest incident, but it now appears that the player may leave of his own volition, with a move to Italian side AC Milan his most preferred destination. City fear the spat with Mancini has caused his market value to nosedive however. The club valued the player at £40 million only a few months ago, but are now concerned they will struggle to get £15 million for the wayward striker. Meanwhile, City will turn their attentions to Napoli striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan has been in scintillating form of late, scoring 20 goals so far this season, including 14 in his last 11 matches. He is thought to have a £51 million buy-out-clause in his contract, however, having just signed a new deal with the Serie A club at the start of this season.
