Man City Transfer News: Isco £30 Million Bid This Week?
the Sun, Manchester City are set to make an official bid for Malaga youngster Isco this week. The 21-year-old midfielder could then follow former manager Manuel Pellegrini to the Etihad, Stadium, after the former Malaga bass was officially named the new Manchester City boss last week having agreed a three-year deal. The Spanish wonderkid is being viewed as a potential star and has attracted serious interest from Real Madrid. Both clubs with large reverses look set to battle it out after the European Under-21 Championships for his signature. The tournament comes to an end tonight and could see Isco being crowned a champion if the Spanish side defeat Italy U21's. Isco reportedly has a £30 million release clause and has already hinted that he wants to join a club where he can be given first-team football, which potentially could rule out a move to Madrid. With Iscos 'footballing father' Pellegrini having joined Manchester City already this month, he will likely get first-team football at the Premier League side far easier to come by next term. Despite his youthful age, Isco has already established himself as a key player for Malaga having played in 36 La Liga games as well as eight UEFA Champions League fixtures. The attacking midfielder has scored nine goals for this season. Isco joined Malaga from Spanish side Valencia back in June 2011 for an undisclosed fee and since then has worked his way up to become a regular in the squad. Manchester City have already completed the signing of Spanish winger Jesus Navas and Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fernandinho taking the total spending to £50 million. The Sky Blues reportedly have £100 million to spend this summer in order to attempt to regain the Premier League trophy and trump rivals Manchester United.
