Man City Transfer News: Stephan El Shaarawy In, Carlos Tevez Out?

La Gazzetta dello Sport. Last season's Premier League runners-up are prepared to offer a deal worth ‚40 million for the promising 20-year old striker, nicknamed "The Pharaoh", with Tevez also part of a very intriguing offer put before the Italian giants. The ‚40 million proposed move would be broken down into two parts - ‚25 million in cash plus the Argentine striker, whom City value at ‚15 million. Milan are believed to be reciprocal to any such deal though Tevez' wage demands could yet prove to be a stumbling block. The South American earns ‚8.5 million-per-year, while the wage cap fixed by AC is ‚4 million plus a further ‚1 million in bonuses linked to the Champions League. As such, it is uncertain if City's willingness to offer Tevez as part of any such deal is even a viable option - a way around that hurdle would be for City to offer straight cash. Talks between the two sides are understood to be well underway, with both parties apparently happy to strike a deal. Should a straight-cash deal be reached with City, AC would then need to sign a forward to play alongside Mario Balotelli. In that case they could make a move for Juventus star Alessandro Matri.
