So is this the end of the birthday debacle? Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has stated that he wants to stay with the club despite numerous reports linking him with a move away. The Ivorian has become wrapped up in transfer speculation throughout the summer following a brilliant season for City. It all started just days after City lifted the Premier League trophy, when Toure's agent Dimitri Seluk claimed that the club failed to mark his birthday. Further speculation claimed that Seluk had said that his client had been disrespected by the club, and reports had linked him with a move to both PSG and Manchester United. Now Toure claims that the rumours are 'disappointing' and that he wants to remain at the Etihad Stadium. The 31-year-old now wants to put a stop to the speculation linking him with a move away, which was started by his own agent. Everything is fine now, Toure said. There was a lot of speculation, you know. I think sometimes its quite disappointing. I need to do something for the fans, its important to let them know. Theyve done a lot for me. The team is preparing well and we will try to win again next season. Seluk himself has rebuked his claims that Toure will leave City, claiming that he will stay at the club for the foreseeable future. Rumour has it that City have already begun with the preparations for the celebration of Toure's birthday next year, just in case. Are you happy that Toure will stay with City for the coming season?
