Man City Transfers: 8 Last Minute Signings That Could Happen

6. Julian Weigl (Borussia Dortmund)

With the reshuffling of Borussia Dortmund's squad still ongoing, one player who should be interesting Europe's biggest clubs is German U21 International Julian Weigl. The 20-year-old has finally started to emerge in Thomas Tuchel's side this term, but if City's business model is (at long last) to finally be one that looks toward the long-term future of the club, he's a player who could conceivably be built around. However, as he's more than demonstrated this season, he could also offer an immediate impact. His tall and slender frame - which more than makes up for his young age - has gone about putting in some of the most assured and strong midfield displays in the Bundesliga this season. In a position that often gets overlooked, he's managed to catch the eye with a string of strong performances. Performances that, sadly, the likes of Delph, Fernando and Fernandinho haven't been able to consistently replicate.
