Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping for an instantaneous response from his troops on Saturday following their embarrassing defeat to Premier League new-boys Cardiff City. And a successive slip up here against another recently-promoted side really would be damaging for a club that has now only lost a league game before December once since 2010. You would be forgiven for thinking this one is straight forward for the 2011/12 champions but in fact they share an identical record with today's visitors when it comes to the head-to-head statistics. City and Hull have met four times in the Premier League and each club has one win apiece, with two draws. But you have to go all the way back to 1930 to find the last time Hull beat this weekend's opponents away from home. The first FIFA World Cup had just started and Warner Bros. had recently released their first cartoon series called Looney Tunes. And if Hull provide an upset here, we could be saying "That's all, folks!" to another City manager very soon.
