Manchester United have had a ‚12 million offer rejected by Udinese for their 23-year-old Ghanian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah. After just missing out in the Preimer League race to their noisy neighbours and with Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes nearing the end of their careers, United are on the hunt to bring in some fresh blood for next season's title challenge. According to the Metro, Manchester United aren€™t the only club interested in Asamoah, with Italian Champions Juventus also tracking the player who has fielded 41 times for Ghana since he made his debut in 2008. Asamoah€™s agent Stefano Antonelli said:
€œJuventus are certainly interested, but he is an Udinese player and the club is in the Champions League preliminary round next season, so it€™s unlikely they€™ll sell unless there is a big offer.€
With Udinese now taking part in a UEFA Champions League campaign they may feel they don't need to sell and may fight off bids from Juventus, as well as possible second bid from the Manchester side. As we reported on Friday, Sir. Alex Ferguson may also be plotting a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Shinji Kagawa.
