Manchester United have been handed a boost in their alleged pursuit of Carlos Bacca according to the Daily Star. The Columbian, who scored two goals to lead Sevilla to a 3-2 win over Dnipro in the Europa League final last month, has also been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur after becoming one of the leading lights in Spain. His performance in the final capped off a wonderful season for the Columbian where he scored 20 goals and created 28 chances in 37 La Liga appearances, firing Los Rojiblancos to a fifth-placed finish. The forward's agent has been speaking and revealed that his client will consider a big offer this summer, Sergio Barila said:
€œThere are several clubs interested in Bacca. I can€™t deny there€™s interest from Roma, they€™re a big club. Carlos is happy in Seville, as is his entire family, and this year there€™s also the Champions League which gives added value. €œHowever, in football you never know, and if big offers come in, then they€™ll be assessed with great peace of mind.€
The 28-year-old has reportedly had a £14 million price tag slapped on his head which will appeal to clubs of Manchester United's size. He is a player that could do a job for more than a couple of years and certainly looks like he could offer more than Robin Van Persie currently can while looks more suited to the Premier League compared to Radamel Falcao.
