Metro. The former Manchester United ace has a contract at the Bernabeu until 2015, but Madrid could be tempted to cash in now if he refuses to put pen to paper on an extension, which would run until 2018 and see the Portuguese' wages increase by 50%. The Metro suggest that Ronaldo is unhappy with the way he is being portrayed by Spanish media, whilst last summer news surfaced via the MailOnline of a dramatic bust up with manager Jose Mourinho. With those reports suggesting that the star is unsettled at Real - who are languishing in third place in La Liga - other clubs have started to show an interest, one of them being Qatar-owned Paris St Germain, perhaps one of the few clubs alongside Manchester City who could afford the player. If Real Madrid ask for more than the £80million they signed him for, they will find his suitors few and far between. But Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson might be quietly confident of landing the players signature, given the six successful years he spent at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009, where he scored 118 goals in 292 appearances and won the Champions League. The former Ballon d'Or Winner will be returning to Old Trafford in the New Year, however. Manchester United host Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16.
