Former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung this week announced his retirement from football. The South Korean arrived at the club in 2005 from PSV Eindhoven and won four league titles with United, before leaving for Queens Park Rangers in 2012 and ending his career back at PSV after returning to the Dutch outfit on loan. Signed for just £4 million by Sir Alex Ferguson, Ji-Sung was a big success for United, earning a reputation as a big game player and winning over fans with his energy stamina, and quiet, unassuming personality. Explaining his decision to call time on his playing career, the 33-year-old highlighted knee issues as a big factor, but maintained he has no regrets as he looks back on his career and that he accomplished far more than he ever thought he would.
