Man Utd Transfer News: Cristiano Ronaldo "Still Loves" United
Former Man United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has stated he "still loves" the club.
Express. Ronaldo spent six seasons with Manchester United, scoring 118 goals in 292 appearances between 2003-09, and he hasn't forgotten the time he spent there. He said:
I still have such great feelings of friendship and love for them. Theyre a team that have done a lot for my career."Earlier this week we reported the Portuguese could be available for "just" £60 million should he leave the Bernabeu, 20 million less than what Real Madrid paid for him in 2009. The former Ballon d'or winner only has two years remaining on his current deal with Real, and it remains uncertain whether or not he will sign an extension. Rumours surfaced in The Sun that United could re-sign the player and make him their top earner on £300,000-a-week, with Qatar-owned Paris St Germain also waiting in the wings. However, for the time being at least, Ronaldo is committed to Madrid, who play his former club in the Champions League last 16 next month, with the first leg at the Bernabeu. He told the Express:
The (United) fans know me well and I have a lot of friends there I keep close to my heart. Now I am defending Real Madrids colours. I want to score, and for us to win.
