Goal.com, Real Madrid are set to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a world-record £132 million deal to persuade the winger to snub a move to former team Manchester United and stay at the Bernabeu. Madrid are set to offer Ronaldo a £132 million, resulting in the Portuguese ace pocketing £12.8 million annually on a five-year deal. The quick-footed attacker€™s current deal at the club, which is worth £8.5 million-a-year, expires in 2015 but if he agreed a new deal it would likely keep him in Spain until he retires. The winger has been linked with a move away from the Madrid and after putting his Spanish villa up for sale as well as tweeting he hadn't signed a new deal at the club, all the signs were pointing to a possible departure from Spain for pastures new. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has denied reports Ronaldo is leaving and has even gone as far as saying he wants give Ronaldo a world-breaking deal:

"I want to build Real Madrid around Cristiano Ronaldo. And I want Cristiano to be the best-paid player in the world."
Ronaldo has scored 201 goals in 199 games since joining from Manchester United four years ago and despite costing the club £80 million, Ronaldo has won just one league title and no European trophies. Ronaldo won several league titles at his time at Old Trafford as well as picking up The Player€™s player of the Year, The Young Player of The Year award and the Ballon d€™Or. The news that Ronaldo is set be offered a new contract with such impressive figures will be a huge blow to the likes Manchester United and big spenders AS Monaco.
