Manchester United are understood to be weighing up a move for QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, according to the The Sun. Arsenal are also thought to be interested in the former Inter Milan shot-stopper, and both have goalkeeping issues at the moment. David de Gea is hotly tipped to be replaced at Old Trafford whilst Arsene Wenger is losing faith in Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny. Cesar is the sort of pedigree of goalkeeper both are looking for, and has reams of experience. The 33-year old spent seven years at the San Siro and won five Serie A titles and the Champions League. But he was forced out of the club last summer due to Inter's cash problems and need to get him off the wage bill, and surprisingly ended up at the Premier League's bottom club Queens Park Rangers. But they too need to lose one of Cesar or Robert Green as they are facing a wage bill dilemma of their own, and could be tempted to sell. However, Cesar has put in a number of impressive performances for Harry Redknapp's side, and is considered a vital asset in their fight against relegation to the Championship. David de Gea has made a number of high profile errors this season. He was at fault in the build-up to Tottenham Hotspur's equalizing goal last weekend and failed to deal with Steven Gerrard's shot at Old Trafford the week before which led to Daniel Sturridge pulling one back.
