Man Utd Transfer News: Robert Lewandowski Deal Complete?

Have Man Utd completed a deal to sign Robert Lewandowski?

according to Ladbrokes. With the capture of Robin van Persie in the summer and the continued presence of Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, the news will likely come as a surprise to most given the attacking riches on display at Old Trafford. However, Ladbrokes reports suggest a deal for the Polish hitman has been agreed "in principal" and he will join United next summer, with Dortmund wishing to keep hold of their prized asset for the time being as they tackle the knock out stages of the Champions League in February. Lewandowski has been in scintillating form for the Germans this season and has helped make them one of the more formidable sides remaining in the Champions League. He has bagged ten goals in 16 games so far for the Bundesliga Champions, and found the net in four of Dortmund's 6 Champions League fixtures to help them qualify ahead of the likes of Man City and Ajax from the Group of Death. Arsenal and Inter Milan were also reportedly interested, but it is Manchester United the Pole has his heart set on, with the possibility of linking up with former Dortmund teammate Shinji Kagawa - whom United signed from the Germans this summer - proving too tempting to resist. The duo formed an effective strike partnership last season as they helped claim a second consecutive Bundesliga for Dortmund. Reports suggest United have agreed to pay £12million for Lewandowski, who will put pen to paper on a five year deal.
