Man Utd Transfer News: Rooney Heading Out of Old Trafford?
The Sun leading the way with a world exclusive, saying Rooney could leave for as little as £25 million. The article could cause a few nervous glances in Manchester as Rooney is still classed as one of their key players - hence the response to his being dropped against Real Madrid. More shockingly, Manchester United didnt seem to miss him, with Danny Welbeck playing a key role in the game, despite his team's loss. The article reports that Fergie now sees Welbeck as the man to partner Van Persie. It remains to be seen though what comes of this and how being dropped on Tuesday will strain the relationship between Ferguson and Rooney. £25 million isnt really that much in modern day terms and does this show how far Rooney has dropped in Fergusons estimates?
