He was never a goalkeeper that would be capable of threatening David De Gea's position as United's number one and now that Victor Valdes has arrived, it is difficult to envisage him ever getting a game in the first team again. He's also been heavily criticised in the past by fellow countryman and United legend Peter Schmeichel and at the age of 30, hasn't got much time to improve or force his way into the first team.
