Man Utd Transfers: 10 Players They Must Sign To Topple Man City
4. Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham)
Fulham prodigy Ryan Sessegnon is patently not a left-back, which means that all those people suggesting that his record of 20 goals in 71 Championship appearances is pretty remarkable for a left-back are wrong.
That record is pretty remarkable, though, when you consider his tender age. Sessegnon has only been legally able to consume alcohol for a couple of weeks, and yet he's already found the net more times than Robbie Savage did in his entire career*.
Football history is littered with examples of precocious teenagers who, for one reason or another, failed to come good on their early promise. The likes of Freddy Adu, Cherno Samba, Federico Macheda (remember him, United fans?).
But, Mourinho or not, the Red Devils have always prided themselves on their commitment to developing young players, and if any side in England has the resources to "take a punt" on 18-year-old potential, it's them. We all remember how well Wilfried Zaha's move went, after all!
*Not technically true, but Savage was s**t, wasn't he?
