Blaise Matuidi wouldn't be a direct replacement for Angel Di Maria but if Louis van Gaal was prepared to play Memphis Depay and Juan Mata as his attacking midfielders then the French international would give Manchester United a fantastic box-to-box midfielder. Bayern Munich recently signed Arturo Vidal from Juventus for £28 million, the midfielder is a specialist in dictating the pace of the game, breaking up attacks and driving forward with the ball. Unlike Manchester City who have Yaya Toure, the Red Devils are yet to find such a versatile midfielder and Matuidi would provide a perfect partner alongside Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin in Louis van Gaal's 4-3-3 formation. The 28-year-old who possesses the same maturity as Di Maria scored four goals last season in 34 games for the French champions.
