Man Utd Transfers: 5 Players Who Must Be Sold
5. Matteo Darmian
Matteo Darmian and Manchester United always seemed like a bit of a strange fit. The Italian full back arrived at Old Trafford to little fanfare back in 2015. Since then, he's only made 54 league appearances and doesn't seem to be trusted too strongly by José Mourinho.
The 28-year-old is heading into the final year of his United contract and is expected to move on this summer, having been linked with the likes of Juventus. The Red Devils seem happy enough with the idea of letting Darmian leave for around £10 million, and the signing of promising Portuguese right back Diogo Dalot will give Darmian even more competition, so he'd be better off looking for first team football away from Manchester.
An Italy international, Darmian is good enough to be playing regularly at many other clubs and is in the peak years of his career, so won't want to waste another season on the bench. A move to Juventus could be a great one, especially as the Italian club have signed Cristiano Ronaldo and could make a big push for a Champions League win next season.
