With the fair share of rumours suggesting Ronaldo€™s return, here are five reasons why Cristiano should make a sensational return to Old Trafford...

5. He Is Still Loved At United

Any club would love a talent such as Cristiano Ronaldo in their team but The Red Devils seem to have an undying affection for their former number seven. United fans would welcome the attacker back in a heartbeat and if Ronaldo wants to feel loved again, he should look back to his roots and re-join the Premier League champions. Ronaldo has unintentionally teased Manchester United fans on several occasions of returning to the club after declaring he is €˜sad€™ at Real Madrid. Ronaldo told Spanish media back in September last year:
€œI€™m sad - when I don€™t celebrate goals it€™s because I€™m not happy.€
He then went on to say:
€œIt€™s a professional thing. Real Madrid know why I€™m not happy.€
It is unclear whether Ronaldo has found common ground with Real Madrid, but with the star reportedly rejecting a contract, all the rumours are pointing to a return to United.
