Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has given his clearest indication yet that goalkeeper David de Gea could leave Old Trafford in favour of a move to Real Madrid, according to BBC Sport. The outlook is not particularly promising for Manchester United fans with the Spanish stopper, who has kept 11 clean sheets this season and pulled off multiple world class saves, was substituted before the end of the game with an injury. As De Gea left the pitch, he looked to be paying his final farewells to the Old Trafford faithful before Victor Valdes took to the field to replace him and make his full debut for the club. The Dutchman claimed that he didn't know whether Real Madrid had in fact made an offer for the player, but he said the Red Devils number one faces a tough decision and it would be tempting to move back to his home country and reunite with his girlfriend and family. Despite Louis van Gaal's uncertainty, Manchester United fans can be safe in the knowledge that he has targets lined up to replace the world class goalkeeper.
