Manchester City have reportedly agreed an undisclosed fee for the impending transfer of midfielder Jack Rodwell to Everton.

It was only recently that City boss Roberto Mancini fumed at the clubs current lack of transfer activity but just ahead of the Premier League champions clash with Chelsea at Villa Park on Sunday it was confirmed that the fee for Rodwell had been confirmed.

"The midfielder is set to undergo a medical with the Premier League champions on Sunday."The 21 year old midfielder recently won his first England cap and has also previously been linked to with City derby rivals Manchester United. Rodwell has had his share of problems in the past, particularly with repeated injuries to his knee, which unfortunately killed his chance to play the sport at the Olympics. That being said, he has been rated within the £20m bracket and is considered by many to be an extremely bright prospect for the future. Rodwell has been named in Hodgsons squad for next Wednesdays upcoming friendly in Switzerland with Italy.
