I may be doing Olympic Marseille a grave disservice but from the outside Wednesday's game looks a must win game for Arsenal at the Stade Velodrome. Being drawn in a tough group including both Napoli and Dortmund three points from this week's game would be a positive start in their quest to qualify for the knock out stages for a sixteenth consecutive season. After the hiccup against Aston Villa on the opening weekend of the season the Gunners have recovered well with three consecutive wins in the Premier League and a comfortable progression into the groups stages of the Champions League, albeit against a rather poor Fenerbache side. This combined with the marquee signing, the fans have been crying out for, of Mesut Ozil means there is a much more positive outlook around the Emirates. With Ozil joining the likes of Wilshire, Rosicky, Walcott, Giroud and Carzola there is a lot of attacking talent available to Arsene Wenger for the upcoming campaign. Special mention though must go to the rejuvenated Aaron Ramsey who has been the outstanding player for Arsenal so far this season scoring five goals already including a superb brace which saw of Sunderland this weekend. His drive and determination from a central midfield berth has given the side much needed energy and defensive cover the side was previously lacking. Obviously the resigning of Flamini has added to this more resolute Arsenal. So we start off this season's Champions League proper with Arsenal in a positive mood three points in Marseille would go a long way to continuing that! As I stated at the start it may be a little melodramatic to use the phrase 'must win' but I feel at the end of the sixth game they may be a much needed three points.
