Wigan host Tottenham Hotspur at the DW Stadium for a 3pm Premier League kick-off this afternoon with Roberto Martinez's men have lost their last three matches. They were beat by Manchester City, unsurprisingly, 3-0 at the Eithiad Stadium. They then lost to Championship side Cystal Palace in the Carling Cup second round 2-1 with midfielder Ben Watson scoring a late consolation goal and then the Lactics lost last weekend to David Moyes' Everton at Goodinson Park 3-1. Franco Di Santo the scorer for Wigan. So the home side will be desperate for a win today, even though it's unlikely against a side full of as many star as Tottenham, but you never know in football and especially the Premier League. They have picked up just one win and have 5 points putting them in 15th position for the moment. Their win coming against QPR as Franco Di Santo scored two goals to secure Wigan won. It's going to be a tough game for them tomorrow against the quality that Spurs possess. Tottenham played on Tuesday night against Stoke and lost on penalties. Harry Redknapp did field a weak team - almost like he played a team that he thought would get knocked out so he could just focus on the league - which most Premier League managers usually do in the League Cup. They beat Liverpool 4-0 last Sunday and played very well with Emmanuel Adebayor netting twice and Jermaine Defoe scoring to put him on a total of two goals so far this term. Luka Modric also scored after a very unsettled summer. Redknapp's men should be aiming for a win tomorrow; I'll be surprised if Spurs don't come out of it with all three points.
