Newcastle United have had two players sent off during their first four Premier League games and received 11 bookings.

Aleksandar Mitrovic was shown a red card by Andre Marriner against Arsenal last weekend and Daryl Janmaat was dismissed by Mike Jones during Newcastle's 2-0 defeat against Swansea.

Both games have resulted in defeat and Magpies' midfielder Moussa Sissoko is hoping that the team will learn from their undisciplined performances and believes the team can go forward if they keep eleven men on the pitch.

Speaking to the Shields Gazette, Sissoko said:

€œWhen you play 10 against 11 it€™s hard, and when you play against a big team like Arsenal it€™s too hard.

€œWe tried to do our best. We showed some good things.

€œDefensively, we were very good, and they scored in the second half.

€œWe have to learn about this game and try to be careful with tackles and fouls. We have to try to stay 11 (men on the pitch) and win the game.€

There were a lot of positives to take from the Arsenal game and it would have been interesting to see how Newcastle would have faired without the early sending off as despite not having a shot on target they defended well.

€œWe showed some very good things.

€œYou can see we tried to play more and create some good movement and chances.

€œBut it was hard 10 against 11 against a big team. I hope, after the international games, we will show some good things and get a good result.€
