Newcastle Transfer News: Alan Pardew Wants Wilfried Zaha On Loan?

By Joseph Dempsey /

Newcastle are the early favourites to land Manchester United's unwanted winger Wilfried Zaha on loan in the New Year, according to the Mirror. Boss Alan Pardew wants to land the ex-Crystal Palace man on a temporary basis and has even made inquiries with counterpart David Moyes over the possibility of a deal. Zaha has made a slow start to his United career, with Moyes leaving him on the fringes and even putting him in the U-21 side yesterday. Moyes may let the winger leave temporarily in order to get some crucial first team action, and the Magpies believe they are first in line, despite some serious interest from rivals. Stoke and West Ham are also keen on the young wide man, as are Everton, who want to sign him permanently. Moyes has not given up on Zaha however and will not sanction his outright sale, seemingly giving Newcastle the edge. With Pardew able to offer the starlet the opportunity to play in front of sell-out crowds every week, a possible loan move to the North East may well suit all parties. Zaha has only made two appearances for United this season and has yet to open his account with his new club.
