Newcastle United have a massive summer ahead of them. Having only just confirmed their Premier League status on the final day of last season, they want to avoid a repeat of such a scenario during the 2015-16 campaign. Steve McClaren was unveiled as the Magpies' new boss more than two-and-a-half weeks ago and yet he has not been able to unveil his first signing at the club. Newcastle have been linked with upwards of 70 - yes that is correct - faces so far this transfer window but the club have failed to get even one signing over the line. Players will depart St James€™ Park in the coming weeks, but equally, at least six are believed to be likely to arrive on Tyneside. Centre-backs, wingers and strikers are of the utmost priority, with at least two proven forwards also wanted by the Magpies.
