Newcastle Will Have To Pay £12m To Bring In England Winger
Tottenham have said they are willing to listen to offer for Andros Townsend.
according to The Standard. The England winger is being watched by three Premier League clubs including the Magpies, Sunderland and Aston Villa and Spurs are now willing to listen to offers. The Standard reports that the 24-year-old is keen to convince Mauricio Pochettino he can play an important role this season but if the North London side receive a bid matching their valuation then they will be happy to sell. Townsend returned to full training this week after a shoulder injury kept him out of last weekends opening-day defeat at Manchester United. Spurs have agreed a £10 million fee with Lyon attacker Clinton NJIe who looks to be heading to the club. Townsend's place will be under further threat as the Cameroonian forward can play in a number of positions across the front and Pochettino already holds Nacer Chadli, Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela in higher regard. Newcastle United have been looking to sign another wide midfielder this summer and would benefit from Townsend's dribbling and crossing ability as they currently only have Gabriel Obertan and Rolando Aarons as natural wingers.
Newcastle United will need to bid £12 million in order to bring Andros Townsend to St James' Park this summer,
