Newcastle United will face Manchester United on BT Sport in their opening TV fixture of the 2015-16 Premier League campaign. Last season's clash between these two sides saw Man United claim a comfortable 3-1 victory over the Magpies on Boxing Day but Steve McClaren will hope he can leave his former stomping ground with all three points this time around. This is one of four NUFC fixtures that have been selected for TV - with Arsenal, West Ham United and Chelsea also all on the box as Sky Sports and BT Sport announce their televised matches for August and September. The Magpies open their season against Southampton at St James' Park on Sunday August 9th (1.30pm kick-off) before visiting the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea City on Saturday August 15th (3pm). Then McClaren's men will travel to Old Trafford for the lunchtime kick-off against Louis van Gaal's Red Devils on Saturday August 22nd (12.45pm) live on BT Sport. After those two successive away games, Newcastle then entertain Arsenal at St James' Park on Saturday August 29th (12.45pm), also live on BT Sport, before a two-week international break. When the Premier League action returns, Magpies supporters have a ridiculous trip to Upton Park on the evening of Monday September 14th (8pm) for the final time in the Premier League before West Ham United move into the Olympic Stadium for the 2016-17 campaign. Interestingly, the Magpies then have back-to-back home matches against London sides Watford (Saturday September 19th, 3pm) and then champions Chelsea (Saturday September 26th, 5.30pm, Sky Sports), who Newcastle beat 2-1 at St James' Park last season. Following those tough opening seven matches, McClaren will have a greater idea of how his Newcastle side will fare throughout the 2015-16 Premier League campaign.
