NFL Draft 2020: 13 Biggest Picks You NEED To Know
13. Defensive End - Chase Young
Round 1: Pick 2
Joe Burrow may have been the first pick, but Ohio State's Chase Young was considered the most talented player in the 2020 draft class. There was talk leading up to the draft that the Washington Redskins had multiple positions of need and would be looking to trade out of the 2nd overall pick to accumulate more assets. However, when an edge rusher as promising as Young comes around, you don't trade the chance to have him on your roster (looking at you Raiders...)
Ohio State has become known for producing elite pass rushers in recent years with both of the Bosa brothers establishing themselves as legit NFL talent. Young also favorably compares to future hall-of-famer Julius Peppers and new coach Ron Rivera will know how to best utilize that talent for the defense having coached Peppers in his last two years.
The Redskins don't yet have the talent to take over the NFC East, but look for Young to make his mark right away in disrupting opposing offenses and getting after quarterbacks.
