Norwich will welcome back defender Sebastien Bassong following a calf injury, with the Cameroonian international set to face his former club. On-loan striker Harry Kane is ineligible to face his parent club, but new signing Lee Camp could feature. Tottenham could hand a debut to Lewis Holtby following the German's move from Schalke this week, and Jermain Defoe will return after missing the FA Cup defeat by Leeds on Sunday. William Gallas is fit again.
Match Preview
Both of these clubs will be smarting following unlikely eliminations from the FA Cup over the weekend. Norwich suffered the ignominy of becoming the first ever Premier League side to be eliminated from the competition by a non-league side, then just 24 hours later, Tottenham were knocked out by Championship side Leeds. Norwich will try to dust themselves down and make certain of their safety in the Premier League over the next few months, while trophy-chasing Tottenham's attentions will now drift to the Europa League, which represents their only realistic shot at silverware this season. But their fans will likely tell you that qualifying for next season's Champions League is more important than glory in Europe's less glamorous sister-competition, and with Andre Villas-Boas' side current occupying 4th place in the league, there is every chance they can make that happen.
