Premier League: 5 Biggest Losers Of Last Season

By Daniel McAleer /

5. Nani

The former Sporting Lisbon star appears to be running out of friends at Old Trafford. Hailed as the next Cristiano Ronaldo when the Red Devils paid £17 million for the 20 year old Portuguese starlet in 2007, Nani is now barely an afterthought when it comes to United's midfield. The Old Trafford club appear to have run out of patience waiting for the winger to realise his potential. The hit and miss (mostly miss) 26 year old Nani, only appeared 10 times in the last Premier League campaign, his least productive season in England. The Portuguese international is now entering the final year of his contract at the Champions and United appear keen to cash in on him rather than let him walk away on a free transfer next summer. Monaco, Juventus and Galatasaray have been linked with moves for the player who is now entering his peak years. Galatasaray are said to have bid £6.5 million for the winger rejected by United who have apparently rejected this offer and are holding out for something in the region of £10 million for the Portuguese flop.
