This is a player far from settled at Roma. The goalkeeper, who is still first choice for Holland following Edwin van der Sar's retirement, is reportedly far from happy at his club, with his agent even going so far as to say that his client will actively try to seek a move away, with reported issues between him and Roma's manager, Zdenek Zemen. That alone would be enough to make several Premier League clubs take notice, but they should be further excited by the fact that Stekelenburg already speaks English. Teams that are likely to be paying attention could include Fulham, who will have one eye on Mark Schwarzer's retirement date, whenever that may be. Liverpool could also have a look at him, especially if recent rumours are to be believed that Barcelona might move for Reina now that Victor Valdes is leaving there, though I personally don't think Reina will go to Barca. However, it's not often that you see goalkeepers move in the January window, and this move would also leave Roma greatly understaffed, with very little time to find a replacement. If he does leave Roma, it'll have to be with a hefty amount of money going the other way to convince them it's worth selling him.
