Be it the Europa League, the Champions League, the Premier League, we all have an opinion on who the top performers are. Personally, I love to pick out the players I think are doing well and I love to debate the finer points of a player's performance with other supporters. So, armed with this wealth of footballing "expertise" (slight sarcasm) I've decided I'm going to compile my very own "Team of the Week" after each Premier League weekend. This is my first attempt at this so bear with me if I've missed something special this weekend and omitted a player through blind ignorance! Using the 3-4-3 formation, here, I pick my Team of the Week for 5th-6th October.
Goalkeeper - Artur Boruc, Southampton
Artur Boruc has enjoyed a fantastic start to the new season and has conceded only three goals so far this term - the 20th instance that such a feat has been achieved during the first seven games of a top flight season since professional football was established in 1888 (via @OptaJoe). The Saints stopper also stands atop the clean sheet charts with five to his name already - including one against Swansea City at the weekend. Boruc has been the star man for a Southampton team currently sitting in a deserved Champions League spot - long may it continue.
