Premier League: Top 10 Transfers On Deadline Day
WhatCulture looks at 10 players who could be a hit in the Premier League following their deadline day moves.
August 31st, otherwise known as transfer deadline day. Managers hate it, but for the fans, it can be a day where your wildest dreams can become a reality, or your worst nightmare. There have been some major successes, with Wayne Rooney's move from Everton to Manchester United in 2004, or for Everton the arrival of afro-bearing midfielder Marouane Fellaini from Standard Leige in 2008. Yet on the flip side of this, there have been some disasters, none more recent in the memory than Andy Carroll, who has proved to be a major flop at Liverpool following his £35 million move to Merseyside from Newcastle in the January 2010 window.

10. Charlie Adam (Liverpool to Stoke)
"This club's on the up and it's great to be a part of it. I can do this club proud and I'm looking forward to the chance of playing in front of their passionate supporters."Needless to say, Stoke's fans should be buoyed by this signing as it will certainly add some tenacity and creativity in the centre of their midfield, and will aid their push towards another season of European football.
