Premier League Transfers: 10 Underrated Players Who Should Move Clubs
2. Ben Mee (Burnley)
His club partner James Tarkowski may get all the plaudits and even an England call-up, but Burnley's Ben Mee is just as effective as his counterpart and would fit in seamlessly with any number of top clubs. In fact, any team in need of a reliable, composed, dependable defender could do a lot worse than the 28-year-old.
A Manchester City academy graduate, Mee never appeared for City, quickly finding a new home in Burnley and settling at the club, with which he has now made 230 league appearances and scored 6 goals. Through the good and the bad, Mee has been there and has only gotten stronger and more defensively solid over the years.
Interestingly, Mee's deal is actually set to expire next summer and, at least for the time being, the Burnley man is yet to put pen to paper on a contract extension. The club might look to cash in on him while they still can or risk losing him for free in twelve months' time. Any club who gets Ben Mee on a free deal will have done an outstanding bit of business, so Burnley will be doing all they can to get that contract signed as soon as possible.
