Paris St Germain's owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has confirmed rumours that he has plans to buy Liverpool's controversial striker Luis Suarez. PSG, who are one of Europe's new big spenders on the financial backs of Qatari investors, wants Suarez to help the French side compete in next year's Champions League. PSG are currently first in Ligue 1 and Al-Khelaifi has clearly enjoyed a quick return on his investment. He claims to want to stay at the Parc des Princes and keep spending for the next 'five or six years' to help guide the club back into the top of Europe's elite As well as a big money move for Suarez, Al-Khelaifi has also signalled out Real Madrid striker Higuain as a potential target for the summer; "We are already looking at the market for next season," he said. "We have clear targets in mind. It is true that we want Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain. "Our real short-term targets are to win the Champions League and find a new Lionel Messi. "We will spend what is normal for a top-class club. We prefer to invest a lot and immediately. "In the next five or six years, we still spend this amount. Then the investments will slow." Whether Liverpool would be willing to sell is not clear, though Suarez has been as much a problem for them this season as he has been useful. Suarez may also be interested in a move out of the Premier League after the race row that has plighted his season.
