QPR Transfer News: Eto'o To Stay In London For Harry?

Could the Cameroonian be swapping one rich club for another?

Former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o has been sensationally linked to a stay in London and joining up with Harry Redknapp at Loftus Road next season. The veteran Cameroon forward has asked his agent, Claudio Vigorelli, to speak to QPR representatives over a possible move to the newly promoted club. If the deal was to go through, Eto'o, 34, who was let go by Mourinho over question marks on his age and fitness, will be eager to continue his career in the Premier league and would even be willing to possibly take a wage reduction in order to complete the deal. Harry Redknapp notoriously loves to wheel and deal in every transfer window and this signing could be one of his finest if the wage structure is agreed by the owners, especially if Eto'o still has the legs to have an impact in Harry's team. And the good news for Redknapp is that despite being hunted by a number of big clubs across the world, it is rumoured that London is his preferred destination, suggesting that QPR might well be in pole position. The former Barcelona and Inter Milan goal-scorer bagged nine goals in the league for Chelsea last season to prove to his doubters that he still has the ability to help teams win games, and he was hardly the first name on Mourinho's team sheet during that term. Would you be happy with the arrival of Samuel Eto'o at QPR? Is his age a problem or would his experience help keep the newly promoted team in the top flight?
