Team News

QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips is unlikely to face his former club and is doubtful with an ankle injury, while Junior Hoilett is still battling a hamstring injury. Manaher Harry Redknapp has confirmed that he is set to recall the first-team regulars that he rested for the defeat against MK Dons. Manchester City welcome back Samir Nasri and Mario Balotelli from illness, but Vincent Kompany is out with a calf injury. Fellow defender Matija Nastasic is also a doubt with a minor knee problem.

Match Preview

On paper, this one doesn't look like much of a contest. The reigning Premier League Champions versus its bottom club doesn't sound like it could be much of a contest, but we all remember that one last, mad day of the season last year when QPR almost did the impossible by thwarting Roberto Mancini's title charge. Harry Redknapp's men come into this game on the back of a shock FA Cup defeat to MK Dons, but insists his side will put on a better display this time as he brings back his first-team regulars to face the reigning champions of England. City meanwhile travel to QPR on the back of five successive victories this month, and will be well aware that victory here will cut Manchester United's gap at the top of the Premier League to just two points - the Red Devils aren't in action until tomorrow.
