On Saturday evening Real Madrid travel to Seville to play Real Betis, as La Liga resumes after a midweek European set of fixtures. As their league battle with Barcelona continues, Madird will once again have the chance to go thirteen points clear at the top before Barcelona play Racing Santander on Sunday. Real Madrid are looking to keep up their winning streak of ten consecutive league games. If they are to continue their run, they will need to be strong against Real Betis and their passionate crowd at the Benito Villamarín. Newly promoted Betis currently find themselves twelfth in La Liga, and will be looking for a positive performance after their recent defeat at the hands of Levante. Real Madrid will still be without key injured players Angel Di Maria and Karim Benzema, however Kaka and Gonzalo Higuain proved more than worthy players to step in as Madrid beat Espanyol five-nil last weekend. As Jose Mourinho considers in what way to use his squad, the Champions League second leg tie against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday may play a factor. Because the tie is level at one-one, Mourinho may consider resting some players as Madrid look to progress in all of Europes biggest competitions. Finally, another record that was broken by Real Madrids players last week was Sami Khedira becoming the fourteenth different Madrid player to score this season. This already beats last seasons total amount of thirteen different players scoring for the club.
