Tottenham are on the hunt for a new manager after the increasingly inevitable departure of Andre Villas-Boas was confirmed in the wake of the chastening 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool. The manager was summoned to an emergency meeting after the loss, and his departure by mutual consent was announced. There are many possible options for Daniel Levy to turn to, and the Spurs chairman is under huge pressure to get this appointment right after the expensive failure of AVB. Michael Laudrup, Frank De Boer and Fabio Capello have been mentioned as potential successors, but one who could surprise a few onlookers is ex-England manager Glenn Hoddle, who has been touted by BBC pundit Gary Lineker. Hoddle has not managed at Premier League level since leaving Spurs themselves in 2003. His reign ended in disappointment, leaving Spurs in the relegation zone with four points from their six opening games. Ten years on however, with the Premier League a very different beast, the time may be right to make a successful return to White Hart Lane. Could Hoddle the man for the job?
