It's very early days in the current season, but Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have made a relatively good start to it - at least prior to their first defeat last weekend when Liverpool beat them 3-0 at White Hart Lane. The Lilywhites were the early pacesetters in the Premier League before the Reds taught them a lesson, as Mauricio Pochettino's reign at White Hart Lane started with a lot of promise. An away win at West Ham United in the Premier League on the opening day was followed by a 2-1 win in Cyprus against AEL Limassol in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round first leg, a 4-0 home win against Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League and a 3-0 home victory over AEL Limassol in the second leg of the aforementioned Europa League tie. It's now the first international break of the season, so we thought we'd take an early time-out to give you a chance to give your thoughts on the performances of the players so far, by way of a poll and by commenting with your extended thoughts. We've listed the ten players we think have stood out the most so far - in both the Premier League and Europa League matches - based on their contributions to said games and we want you to tell us who you think has been the best of the bunch (and we reiterate that we know it's early days, but it's just a bit of fun!). Spurs have kept three clean sheets in their five games, scored ten goals (Eric Dier twice, Harry Kane twice, Roberto Soldado, Nacer Chadli twice, Emmanuel Adebayor, Pauilnho and an Andros Townsend penalty) and had the bulk of possession so far - so there have been good performances all over the pitch. So who do you think has been Spurs' best player this season so far? Please vote in the poll below and, as we've suggested, do please elaborate on your thoughts by commenting in the relevant section at the bottom of the page (particularly if the player you think has performed best isn't listed!). And please feel free to follow me on Twitter!
