Last season, Tottenham Hotspur had the worst defensive record out of every team in the top eight of the Premier League. Thanks largely to a number of heavy defeats at the hands of the league's top teams, Spurs conceded 51 goals in their 38 game league campaign and they really can't afford for that to happen again if they want to make an impact on the top four and earn themselves Champions League football via the domestic route this year. As a result, new boss Mauricio Pochettino has taken action, selling Michael Dawson and bringing in Eric Dier, Federico Fazio and Ben Davies in defence, as well as new goalkeeping backup in the form of Michel Vorm and a new defensive midfielder in Benjamin Stambouli. So far - and bearing in mind that not all of those men have even appeared in a Spurs shirt yet - Spurs have conceded five goals in their first four league matches. Two clean sheet victories over West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers were followed by a 3-0 home defeat to Liverpool and a 2-2 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. If Spurs were to continue conceding an average of five goals from every four games played, their goals conceded record wouldn't be far off last year's tally, so we want to know if you think their defence will improve as the season goes on and result in a better defensive record to last season at the end of it. So, what do you think? Will Spurs concede less goals this season than they did in the previous one?
