Spurs Transfer News: Scott Parker & Emmanuel Adebayor On Their Way Out?

By K.J. Stewart /

Gareth Bale is definitely set to stay with the club, news has emerged that two Spurs first-team squad members are set to be subject to bids from other clubs, leading to speculation that they could be on the way out. The London Evening Standard is reporting that Harry Redknapp's Queens Park Rangers want combative midfielder Scott Parker to lead their charge back to the Premier League, while the Express say that talks have already opened between Spurs and Turkish side Besiktas regarding the transfer of Emmanuel Adebayor. Parker's exit would seem likely, given that Spurs have recently added Paulinho to their central midfield contingent. The Brazilian was voted third best player at the recent Confederations Cup and is currently one of the hottest properties in world football. Spurs already have the likes of Sandro and Mousa Dembele in their ranks, so Parker would likely find himself well down the pecking order should he remain at Spurs. Adebayor has been strongly tipped to be shown the door by Spurs since his poor performances last season. The striker only managed five league goals in 2012-2013 and generally looked less than half the player he was in his loan spell with the club in the previous season. With Spurs looking to sign the likes of Christian Benteke, David Villa and Roberto Soldado, Adebayor is another player who would likely be surplus to requirements next season if he stayed and a lot of Spurs fans will be happy to see the back of him if he leaves. Are Spurs right to sell Parker and Adebayor? Have your say below!
