Spurs Transfers: 5 Players They Must Sign

5. Max Aarons (Norwich)

One of the hottest rising stars in English football right now is Norwich City's Max Aarons.

A right-back known for his energy and willingness to get forward, the 19-year-old shares many of the same attributes that former Spurs full-back Kyle Walker brought to Mauricio Pochettino's side before making his big-money move to Manchester City.

With Spurs having sold Kieran Trippier this summer, that leaves Spurs looking extremely short in the right-back position right now.

In fact, going into the 2019/2020 campaign and young Kyle Walker-Peters is the only fit right-back available to Pochettino - Serge Aurier is recovering from hand surgery, while stand-in RB Juan Foythe is set for a spell on the sidelines after injuring his achilles in the Audi Cup final against Bayern Munch.

Simply put, Spurs need to bring in some right-sided defensive cover before the transfer window slams shut. And in Max Aarons, that's a player who perfectly fits Spurs' remit for exciting young talent.

Having signed a five-year contract earlier this year, however, Spurs might have to offer a figure in the £20 million region to stand any chance of bringing the player to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
