Originally founded in Belgium by the Boone family in 1932, Lotus Bakeries has since gone on to have world wide success. With production factories now in 4 different countries, as well as sales team operating across 2 continents, much of their success can can sourced back all the way to their original unassuming sweet treat; the decorative caramelized biscuit. Seen as the perfect accompaniment for tea and coffee drinkers all over the world, Lotus Bakery's tasty biscuits are served throughout thousands of bars and coffee houses, as well as finding their way on to the plates of many people to be enjoyed at home. Operating under a number of different trade names around the globe including Lotus Biscoff, Peijnenburg, and Anna's, the biscuits are a product which people are familiar with and enjoy as an essential part of their caffeine inducing routine. This month Lotus have teamed up with Chelsea and Belgian football star Eden Hazard to launch a competition to find the perfect kick. As diminutive but oh so special as the biscuits themselves, Hazard stars in the video above as he demonstrates his own skills in kicking a ball through on the smallest of targets. Hard as that may be in itself, any inaccuracy shown by the star midfielder is sure to end in chaos as the target is surrounded by a wall of tea cups just waiting to be smashed! The prize of offer is an expenses paid trip to London for 2 people, where you will be treated to a full stadium tour of Stamford Bridge, and a personal meet and greet with Eden himself. To enter competition people are asked to submit videos of their own perfect kick. This may be a deftly executed chip in to next door's dog kennel, a rabona in to the nearest plant pot, or a daring curl in to the upstair's window, the only requirement is that you aim to be creative with your idea. Head on over to the Lotus website here to view what people have already submitted, and hopefully get a bit of inspiration for your own perfect kick. Oh and if you're a particular an of Lotus' caramelized biscuits, be sure to try the new Lotus Biscoff Biscuit Spread!
