Two players, two very different backgrounds, two immense goal records.

Sunderland have been linked with Moussa Sow and Jordan Rhodes following the shock news that Connor Wickham looks all set to sign for Crystal Palace this weekend. Reports filtered through last night that a fee had been agreed for Wickham, with The Chronicle suggesting that the fee could be upwards of £9 million depending on installments and add-ons. Naturally, that has kicked the rumour mill back into business and brought Sow's name back into the mix. The Senegalese striker has been in rampant form throughout his career, tallying up 31 in 54 league games for Lille and 44 in 94 for Fenerbache where his contract expires next month. The Daily Star even went as far as claiming the Black Cats had seen a £12.5 million bid rejected for the 29-year-old, though that seems far-fetched due to the player's age and contract status, regardless of how good he is. Meanwhile Rhodes has been a long-standing target of Middlesbrough, though their efforts to sign him for a huge £12 million appear to have stalled with Blackburn unwilling to sell their prized asset. However, it would be hard to prevent his departure should Sunderland offer first team Premier League football, though his services would come at a premium price. The 25-year-old Scottish striker has 146 goals to his name since 2009, an incredible tally, though he is inexperienced with top flight football. Would you like to see either player in a Sunderland shirt?
