Sunderland have confirmed on the loan signing of defender Ondrej Celustka from Turkish side Trabzonspor. The news was made official via the club's website SAFC.com. The 24-year-old right-back has signed a season-long loan deal with the Black Cats, and becomes Paolo Di Canio's 10th sign of the summer. Di Canio's efforts to bring in a full-back had been fruitless till this point, with the newspapers reporting moves for Argentinian Gino Peruzzi and Aly Cissokho had both failed. However now it has now been confirmed that the Sunderland boss has finally made progress in signing a full-back though, though full details of the move have not yet been released. Celustka played for Slavia Prague and Palermo before he made the move east to Turkey, where he has spent the last two seasons. The Black Cats kick-off their season at home to Fulham on Saturday and with Craig Gardner suspended, it looks possible that the Czech Republic international will head straight into the starting line-up. According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace were also sniffing around the player before he eventually decided to commit to the Black Cats. The question on every Sunderland fans' lips now is just how many more players will Di Canio bring in before the start of the new season next week.
